Romeo Santos, an influential figure in the Bachata music genre, presents the concert film Romeo Santos: Utopia Live From MetLife Stadium and the documentary Romeo Santos: The King of Bachata, both debuting on June 25 for a limited one-day viewing.

Santos remarked, "These films have been such a special project for me, and I’m honoured and eager to show it to the world and pull back the curtain on the history of Bachata.” He noted that the films chronicle his personal journey and culminate in his historic performance at MetLife Stadium, where he became the first Latin artist to achieve a sellout at the venue. This opportunity allows him to relive a memorable night while connecting with fans globally.

The concert film Romeo Santos: Utopia Live From MetLife Stadium highlights his groundbreaking performance, featuring renowned Bachateros from his album Utopia, alongside a much-anticipated reunion of Aventura. This event is filled with classic hits and unexpected moments that showcase Santos' significance in the genre.

Conversely, the documentary Romeo Santos: The King of Bachata explores the evolution of Bachata, guided by fellow Dominican artist The Kid Mero, who narrates its journey from humble beginnings in the Dominican Republic to significant global acclaim. The film includes intimate performances on Santos’ “La Gira del Pueblo” tour, where he offers free concerts in small towns, many of which have never hosted a live performance before. Amongst these engagements, viewers gain insight into Santos’ creative process as he diligently works on new, unreleased music.
